We had a wonderful day out at Lullymore.

Last Thursday we visited Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park in Kildare. We learned a lot and had great fun.

We travelled there on a double decker coach. We had great fun in the playground and we tried out crazy golf.

We learned about life in Ireland when we were governed by Britain. We found out about the 1798 Rebellion.

We learned that children were not allowed to go to school and that Irish people set up Hedge Schools so that children could be educated. They had to be careful not to be caught by the soldiers. We saw a Hedge School when we went around on the train.

We saw a Fairy Village and some of the children saw the fairies who lived there.

We also made a special wish around a special fairy tree.

Before we left we got to play in the indoor play centre. It was a great day out and we really enjoyed it. Thanks to Fiona, Benny, Stephen and everyone at Lullymore for looking after us.
